A Pueblo Poem On Gratitude

“Hold on to what is good
even if it is a handful of earth.

Hold on to what you believe
even if it is a tree which stands by itself.

Hold on to what you must do
even if it is a long way from here.

Hold on to life
even when it is easier letting go.

Hold on to my hand
even when I have gone away from you.”

While reading “A Grateful Heart”, I stumbled across this Pueblo poem. I did not know what I was going to blog today until I found this. I have been working on building more and more gratitude within me, sometimes we can get caught up in our life and forget to stop and say “Thank You”. We must be thankful every day we are alive. Have a great day everyone and be grateful for something small or big today.

  1. Thanks for sharing these great words. I’ve said it before, but I strongly believe that the more thankful we are for the small things, the more bigger reasons we will have to be thankful 🙂
