Yesterday we talked about setting goals, and in order to do that, we need to make a budget and stick to it. I know, making a budget is scary. There’s some really great tutorials and articles on LearnVest that tell you how much of each money you should allot to different expenses. Let’s walk through it together now, but for more information, be sure to check out that site; they get into the nitty gritty of budgeting, while I’m going to stay on the warm and fuzzy side of it.

Let’s get started! First, write down any events, holidays, plans, or fun things you’re going to be doing before the month is over.

Mine looks like this:

  • internship
  • Around the World themed party
  • banzai bowls sisterhood
  • sorority election night
  • Thanksgiving
  • Black Friday
  • Small Business Saturday
